2. Get acquainted

Within 5 business days, we’ll reach out for a first conversation, by phone, video, or in person. In the second round we dive into technical topics and align on next steps together.

3. Contract & onboarding

If it fits both technically and personally, we’ll send your contract offer by email. Your first day at GAD: hardware of your choice, a team buddy, and a structured 4-week onboarding.

Your responsibilities

  • Conduct penetration tests against Web, API, cloud, Active Directory, mobile apps, and internal networks
  • Red team engagements and adversary simulation against mature security setups, including OSINT, phishing, and initial-access techniques
  • Contribute to our AI-powered pentesting product RedMind, from attack-path models to reporting automation
  • Produce technical reports and management summaries including CVSS scoring and remediation roadmaps
  • Support customers with remediation, re-tests, and hardening plans
  • Mentor junior pentesters and share knowledge in the team (tool reviews, practice labs, tradecraft sessions)

Your profile

  • You hold a degree in computer science, IT security, business informatics, or a comparable field. Alternatively, a completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist (systems integration) with relevant continuing education.
  • You have several years of professional experience in offensive security with recognized certifications (OSCP, OSCE, OSEP, or equivalent)
  • Deep understanding of web apps, Active Directory, cloud (AWS / Azure), and network protocols, plus confident hands-on use of tools like Burp Suite, Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, and BloodHound
  • Your way of working is marked by proactivity, structured accuracy, and high quality of output
  • You’re a team player and enjoy working with a dedicated engineering team
  • Very good written and spoken German and English round out your profile

  • Optimization of inference performance and GPU utilization through quantization, vLLM, and TensorRT-LLM

  • Build, operate, and maintain sovereign datacenters at EU sites (Tier-III standard or higher)
  • Ownership of power supply, cooling, network backbone, and monitoring
  • Capacity planning and scaling of server, storage, and network infrastructure
  • Incident response, root-cause analysis, and implementation of automation pipelines (Ansible, Terraform)
  • 24/7 NOC on-call in rotation, plus management of hardware suppliers and network carriers

Can I apply for multiple positions at once?

Yes. If multiple positions interest you, apply for each one individually through the respective application form. We’ll route your documents to the right teams and coordinate internally.

Are there application deadlines?

No, we don’t have fixed deadlines. As soon as we find the right person for a position, we take the listing down. As long as a position is visible here, you can apply.

Which documents do I need?

Required: resume as PDF (max. 5 MB), contact details, and a few required form fields. Optional: cover letter, references, and certificates. What we really care about is your career path and the work that has interested you. Not a perfectly formatted cover letter.

Can I apply by mail or email?

Please use the online form on this page. For data-protection and process reasons, we don’t process applications by mail or email through the regular workflow. Everything runs through the encrypted application form. If your file is too large, drop us a note at info@germanaidefense.de.

I’m having trouble applying online. What can I do?

Send us a brief email at info@germanaidefense.de describing the issue (browser, error message, screenshot if helpful). We’ll respond within one business day and find a solution.

Can I make changes after submitting?

Yes. Just send an email to info@germanaidefense.de with your changes or an updated file. We’ll swap the documents before review.

How can I withdraw my application?

Send a brief email to info@germanaidefense.de requesting withdrawal. We’ll confirm receipt and delete your documents in accordance with our application data-protection notice.

How long does the application process take?

For most positions, it takes about 3 to 5 weeks from the time we receive your application to a contract offer. You’ll get a response within the first 5 business days, followed by first and second interviews. We know speed matters and keep the process as lean as possible.

What happens to my application data?

Your documents are used exclusively for the current application process and treated confidentially. If you’re not hired, we’ll delete your data no later than 6 months after the process ends. Details in our privacy policy.
