AI / ML Engineer: LLM Integration (f/m/d)
You take language models from prototype to real use: on European infrastructure, measurable and secure.
Your responsibilities
- You design and build AI systems for customer projects, for example knowledge assistants that answer only from company documents (RAG), classification and anomaly detection
- You integrate open-source language models such as Llama, Mistral or Qwen into customer environments or EU data centers
- You make models faster and cheaper to run, for example through quantization (smaller models with hardly any quality loss) and vLLM
- You build tests that continuously measure whether a model answers correctly, and spot early when quality drops
- You work with the cybersecurity team on AI-assisted attack detection and mentor our junior developers
Your profile
- A degree in computer science, data science, mathematics or a similar field
- Several years of ML engineering experience, ideally including at least one project with language models in production
- Confident in Python and PyTorch, experience with RAG, vector databases and fine-tuning
- You know what GDPR and the EU AI Act mean for AI systems and build that in from the start
- Very good German or English
