Data Center Project Engineer (f/m/d)
You accompany data center projects from inquiry to handover: capturing requirements, vetting and steering certified partners, building security in from the start.
Your responsibilities
- You capture the technical requirements with customers: capacity, availability (such as Tier III), power, cooling, location
- You review the proposals of our certified construction and technology partners and compare them on technical merit
- You steer the partners during the project, track schedules and quality and support acceptance and commissioning
- You make sure security is planned from the start: access control, network, monitoring and the connection to our SOC (Security Operations Center, staffed around the clock)
- You prepare documentation for audits, for example under ISO 27001 or EN 50600 (the European standard for data centers)
Your profile
- A degree in electrical engineering, building services, computer science or similar, alternatively a technician with relevant experience
- Several years of experience in planning, building or operating data centers, on the operator, planner or vendor side
- Good understanding of UPS (uninterruptible power supply), cooling, fire protection and data center networks
- You meet partners at eye level on technical topics and keep schedules and costs in view
- Willingness to travel to project sites
- Business-fluent German, good English
